Prostatitis is an inflammation of the prostate (prostate) in men. According to statistics, it is the most common urological disease in the 25-50 age group. The main causes of the disease can be divided into 2 groups: infectious and non-infectious. In the majority of reported cases, the cause of prostatitis is not specifically contagious.
Many factors are involved in the development of the disease: smoking, hypothermia, regular alcohol consumption, sedentary lifestyle, genital infections, which eventually spread to the prostate. This can negatively affect prostate health and tight underwear, allergic reactions, trauma, severe stress, constipation, and prolonged urinary retention.
The impetus for the onset of the disease is usually low sexual activity or long abstinence. Due to all these factors, hormonal changes occur, blood circulation in the pelvic organs is interrupted and lymph stagnation occurs. This in turn lowers the immune system, which makes the prostate very vulnerable to infections and viruses.
Prostatitis can be divided into 3 forms: infectious, acute and chronic.
The causes of the infectious form can be various bacteria, viruses, fungi and Trichomonas. Usually, the development of infectious prostatitis is due to the entry of sexually transmitted infections into the prostate. Most often, these are infections such as chlamydia, syphilis, gonorrhea, or trichomoniasis. Entering the urinary tract and bladder from the urinary tract and bladder into the prostate gland, the infection impairs the blood supply to the prostate, causing congestion or (in very rare cases) sepsis. But it does not always cause inflammation to develop - this requires the above factors, without which the disease cannot manifest.
The acute form of prostatitis is the main cause of discomfort and pain when you go to the toilet. Often the patient also has a fever (up to 40 degrees), chills, malaise, pain in the perineum. Acute prostate edema occurs, resulting in disruption of normal urination. For the first symptoms, you should consult a urologist immediately, as delaying treatment may result in the disease becoming a chronic form. However, in acute prostatitis, the chances of complete recovery are almost always high, although complex treatment is required. It usually includes antiviral medications, ultrasound, physiotherapy, reflexology, and prostate massage.
A chronic form of prostatitis develops 3 to 6 months after the onset of the acute form if no treatment has been given. In this form, the disease may remain invisible for a long time, but exacerbations are possible under certain conditions. The risk of prostatitis is that it can carry other, more unpleasant diseases: vesiculitis, fibrosis, inflammation of the appendages, then erectile dysfunction (impotence), and consequently infertility.
Treatment of prostatitis with folk remedies
Prostatitis with acute form or complications is treated only in a hospital under the supervision of doctors. Complete diagnostics, PCR, uroflowmetry are performed, blood and urine tests are performed, and the presence of viruses or dangerous bacteria is detected. And only then, depending on the causes found, are antibiotics, immunostimulants, lasers, and physiotherapy prescribed. In severe cases, surgery may be required.
Treatment of prostatitis at home will only be effective in the absence of complications or relapse of the chronic form. In general, folk remedies for prostatitis aim to reduce pain, increase immunity, and eliminate pelvic edema.
Squat for prostatitis
When inflammation of the prostate is caused by inflammation (and not a bacterial infection), there is a possibility that a violation of the blood supply to the pelvis will cause the disease, which affects both the prostate and the muscles around it. And there is no better way to restore blood circulation than regular squats. Test yourself first: straighten your arms, lift them over your head, and do as many squats as you can.
These should be deep squats "to the end, " that is, so that the pelvis does not remain at knee level and the torso does not bend forward, thus creating the illusion of performing the exercise. If you can do this exercise 80-100 times, there is a good chance you will recover. If it causes pain quickly in the legs and pelvis, it is a sure sign of both weakness in the leg muscles and circulatory problems in the prostate and other pelvic organs.
You may not do this exercise every day, but you can only limit yourself 3 times a week. If you can’t sit down 80 times, try breaking down the implementation into several approaches: 4 times 20 times, 2 times 40 times, or 50 times. For maximum efficiency, the break should not be very long - 3-5 minutes.
Try to supplement your squats with other exercises:
- Raise your legs while lying on your stomach (about 20 times per approach), but you should not do this exercise 100 times to avoid overloading yourself;
- Make "scissors": sit down on the floor, look for support behind your hands behind your back, lift your legs into the air and cross them, leaving them alternately right and left on top. Don't overload yourself with this practice.
Along with squatting, these exercises should be a total of 100-150 times - then home treatment for prostatitis will be most effective and you may not need medication.
Other exercises against prostatitis
- Lie on your back, bend your legs, and put it on yourself - your knees should reach your face. With your arms on your feet, lie down for 3-20 minutes. This practice will also be very effective in treating prostatitis, but you have to be very patient. And the longer you can lie in this position, the better. But don't overdo it! More than 20 minutes at a time is not recommended.
- Perineal massage is also one of the most effective practices against prostatitis. Do it in the morning, immediately after sleep, to relieve prostate congestion.
- Another effective exercise is done just before breakfast. Stand at full height, put your legs together, and do a third of your usual squats. Freeze in this position and start moving your knees one by one: left and then right. Perform this exercise for 5 minutes. You can repeat the same thing in the evening. This is a rather complicated method and may not be easy, but if done regularly, you will get used to it and will be able to not only cure prostatitis but also prevent it on a regular basis.
Pumpkin seeds against prostatitis
Pumpkin seeds have long been popular in the treatment of prostatitis. It is a very powerful, yet affordable and inexpensive folk remedy. They contain large amounts of zinc, which is necessary for men of all ages - its daily portion contains only 30 seeds. Eat only dried seeds before meals each day and you will quickly experience improvement.
Another method is to peel a pound of seed and pass it through a meat grinder. The point is not to fry, otherwise it will not achieve the desired effect. Add 200-250 grams of honey and mix. Make no less hazelnuts than one hazelnut from the resulting mass. Store these spheres in the refrigerator, exposing some in advance before use.
Eat these balls one at a time, half an hour before meals, twice a day. But do not swallow quickly, but chew slowly for a few minutes. Usually, such a treatment is very effective, and one course a year is enough to avoid relapses.
Treatment of prostatitis with hazelnuts
It takes a bark or a leaf to make the product - both will be just as effective. You can even use them individually, but it is advisable not to mix them. It is also important to note that the bark takes twice as much time.
Boil 1 tablespoon of product with 1 cup of boiling water, cover with a lid and leave to boil for half an hour. Then strain and drink a glass quarter 4 times a day. You can use it 1-2 times for brewing, both fresh and brewed, although fresh will of course be more effective. This treatment usually helps relieve the symptoms of prostatitis within a week.
Poplar bark from prostatitis
Poplar bark will be just as effective against prostatitis as hazelnut bark and leaves. To do this, the bark of the poplar tree must be collected before the beginning of the moisture flow, before the buds and leaves begin to bloom. This usually happens in mid-April. The thickness of the crust can be any, but is preferably 3 mm.
The crust should be dried slightly in the shade or in the oven, then take 100 grams, grind and pour into a 0, 5 liter bottle. The bark is poured with 200 grams of vodka, but so that it completely covers it. The dish should then be tightly closed and cooked in a dark place for 2 weeks. Then strain the tincture on a cheesecloth or a sieve.
A quarter glass of water is infused with 20 drops, three times daily before meals. Generally, the resulting summer tincture is sufficient for about 2 months.
Treatment of prostatitis with cervix
Wormwood is a wonderful cure for almost any inflammation of the genital tract as it is very effective in eradicating a purulent infection. The whole cure can be made from just 100 grams of dry wormwood. Carefully chop and sift through a kitchen strainer. The herb passing through it is suitable for ingestion in dry form - due to the strong bitterness of dry wormwood, it has a cleansing effect on the body, killing all kinds of infectious agents and parasites.
How is wormwood treated? The algorithm is simple:
- First, for the first 3 days, you should swallow a pinch of dry crushed grass, washing it with water. This should be done every 2-3 hours, even at night. It doesn’t matter if you do it before or after a meal. It is very important that during this first 3 days you cannot take a break even at night. This is a rather difficult procedure, due in part to the difficulty of swallowing the bitter herb, but such a course will help not only in the fight against prostatitis, but in any other infection.
- In the second stage, wormwood should be drunk 5-6 times a day for 4 days in a row, taking breaks only at night.
You must follow a strict diet during the course. Otherwise, the strength of the treatment can be significantly reduced.
- It is advisable to exclude bread or reduce its amount to 200 grams, but not fresh, but it is time to "go to bed" a bit;
- Eliminate meat, fish, sausages, eggs, sweets, cheese, and other dairy products from your diet;
- Be sure to exclude alcohol and tobacco;
- But at the same time you are free to use a variety of cereals, nuts, fruits and sunflower oil.
During the course, you may experience worsening of some latent diseases, joint pain, and general weakness.
Parsley against prostatitis
Parsley is an extremely healthy plant that has many medicinal properties. These include, in particular, the ability to stop inflammation and normalize genital function. We use parsley in cooking because of its high taste, but it is actually a strong herb with many useful trace elements and vitamins.
For example, 100 grams of parsley contains the daily requirement of vitamin A, which makes parsley very beneficial for vision. However, the content of vitamin C is several times higher than in lemon. Parsley also contains inulin (natural insulin), which effectively regulates blood sugar levels and has a beneficial effect on the intestines.
To combat prostatitis, you should eat one tablespoon of parsley juice half an hour before meals for half an hour. You can also use chopped parsley seeds: pour a glass of boiling water over it and let it boil for 15 minutes. Take the broth 5-6 times a day on a tablespoon.
Treatment of prostatitis with herbs
The herbal medicine for prostatitis is a very old and proven drug. The recipes used in folk medicine have been virtually unchanged for centuries. The following are the most effective recipes:
- Squeeze the celandine juice from the freshly picked stem and mix it with alcohol in a ratio of 1 to 1. Take the infusion in the morning before morning. First - a drop of infusion into 50 grams of water, then gradually increase the dose to 30 drops by the end of the month.
- Another recipe for treating parsley: add blueberries, hawthorn and valerian root. The plants should be chopped and mixed and then filled with a glass of boiling water. Then filter the solution on a cheesecloth and take half a glass of water 2 times a day. This infusion will be very effective for an infectious form of prostatitis.
- To treat prostatitis with cloves, grind the dried plant and pour a glass of boiling water on it. Then we do everything as in the previous recipe: strain the tincture on the cheesecloth and use half a glass.
- Radiola pink will be extremely effective against chronic prostatitis. Pour a glass of boiling water over a tablespoon of grated roots and let it boil for an hour. The tincture is then filtered into 2 half-daily glasses (usually before breakfast and dinner).
It is worth knowing that herbal treatment usually takes much longer than other methods, including medication. The course usually lasts from one month to six months. However, the advantage of herbal treatment of prostatitis is usually that it is very effective in fighting not only the symptoms but also the causes of the disease, which are usually hidden. In addition, herbs rarely have side effects unless you have allergies, and treatments based on different herbs can be seamlessly combined.
It is also important to note that when using alcoholic tinctures, it is not advisable to consume on an empty stomach, especially if you have problems with the gastrointestinal tract.
Prevention of prostatitis
Prevention is always easier and more profitable than curing later. Therefore, you need to know some simple secrets that will help you avoid the development and complications of prostatitis:
- Try not to sit for long periods without interruption, especially in an awkward position;
- Avoid hypothermia, especially in the pool area;
- Also avoid constipation and urinary retention - these contribute greatly to the development of this disease.
In addition, regular physical activity, which helps to improve blood circulation in the pelvic organs, will be a very good preventive measure. A proper, well-oiled diet also contributes. It should be noted that these points make it possible to avoid many diseases that await a person after 30 years.
Remember that instead of diagnosing yourself and trying to treat yourself at home, consult an experienced therapist first! This way you can avoid a lot of trouble and possible complications.
